Vendors

Know exactly where it goes, and where it comes from.

Every business and person you pay or are paid by, researched and named properly, with their logo. Spending and income by vendor, over any period.

What a normal day looks like.

Quiet work in the background, and a short note when something needs you.

Bookkeeping · this morning

42 transactions came in overnight across 3 banks. 40 are coded. Two need your eye: a payment we think is school fees, and a transfer we couldn't match.

Most of the family's wealth now sits in rand. A 10% move against the euro would change your net worth by more than a year of living costs.

We want to buy in Cape Town next year. What can we actually afford without selling the investments?
Counting only money you can reach without selling, about R9.5m with a sensible bond. If you're happy to borrow against the portfolio for the deposit, that rises to around R12m. Here's how each option changes your monthly cash flow and your rand exposure.

Questions

Who is Hoffman & Cooper for?+

Families whose finances have grown complicated: several countries and currencies, a business or two, a trust, property, and a partner or parents to look after, but who don't want finance to become their second job.

What happens after we start?+

We connect your bank accounts (read-only), map your entities and structures, and build one picture of everything you own and owe. From then on, every transaction is coded, every bill is filed and matched, and you get a plain-language view every week. You check in as often as you like; we reach out when something genuinely needs you.

Do you hold our money?+

No. Your money stays in your own accounts at your own banks. Our bank connections can read, never move money, and the transactions they bring in are never edited: anything we add, like a category or a note, sits alongside them.

How do you use AI?+

To do the repetitive work well: reading bank text, coding transactions, reading invoices, finding a vendor's real name. A person approves anything uncertain, and you always see why a suggestion was made and how sure it is.

Is there an app?+

Yes. Net worth, spending by vendor, your P&L and balance sheet, and the coding queue are on your phone, updated through the day.

How do we get started?+

By introduction. Request one below and we'll arrange a conversation about where you are and what you'd like handled.

Handled, even when you're not thinking about it.

We work with a small number of families at a time. Tell us a little about yours.
